PLANT TRAINING
GENERAL
Operating Plant in the workplace is a role that is skilled and carries with it a huge responsibility for the safety of those around you. Whether you are a Forklift Truck operator in a warehouse or a Telescopic Handler operator on site the smallest error has the potential to cause serious damage and harm.
Providence Training’s Plant courses will not only teach you how to operate the plant but will also ensure that you are given the knowledge and skills to operate safely.
Your course will cover the Health and Safety Legislation relevant to your role and industry best practice for operation and will include both theory and practical assessments.
Counterbalance Forklift Truck courses are scheduled regularly at our Centre in Neyland, Pembrokeshire but can also be carried out at your premises/site. Other plant categories are normally trained at your premises/site using your plant, however, these can also be held at our Centre either by using your plant or by hiring it in. The oinly exception to this are the static cranes.

| Lifting Operations | We must be notified in advance if you require lifting operations to be covered during your course. Training will address the plant operator side of the lifting operation only and will require a qualified Slinger Banksman to be present. If Slinger Banksman training is required, this can be addressed on separate course. You must have a Lifting Attachment and appropriate slings/chains all with current test certificates. |

Telescopic Handler Operator
