The classroom element of their training ended on Friday with the completion of the ECIT Fire Watcher course and afterwards I grabbed the group for a quick photo opportunity in the sun.
The group have spent the last 9 days completing a total of 7 ECITB Awards designed to optimise their chances of employment within the Engineering Construction Industry.
Next week they will be completing 5 days of welder training which will introduce them to engineering workshop activities and basic welding techniques with the opportunity to produce a test piece and the possibility of gaining a coding.
The ECI Skills Accelerator 2 Project is all about generating interest in the Engineering Construction sector and encouraging new entrants.
We have thoroughly enjoyed hosting this group and wish them every success in finding employment within the sector. We also look forward to welcoming the next group on the 8th of September.
The ECI Skills Accelerator 2 Project is funded by UK Government’s Social Prosperity Fund administered by Pembrokeshire County Council and is being delivered by Providence Training in partnership with Pembrokeshire College
