Since the beginning of the year we have provided basic welder training to 36 participants. All have completed a test piece and all have achieved a TUV certified plate welder coding – a fantastic achievement by our Welding Instructors and by the individuals concerned.
In addition to the welder training, participants have also gained a portfolio of ECITB PEP Awards, providing them with valuable safety and skills training in readiness for site or workshop employment

The, 15 day, Skills Accelerator Project is run in partnership with Pembrokeshire College and funded by UK Government via Pembrokeshire County Council. The aim of all stakeholders is that the project will help address the skills shortage within the Energy and Engineering Construction Sectors.
Providence Training Ltd Director, David Warrell BSc emphasised,
‘It is our objective is to train participants with a range of site based safety and site based skills and encourage them to embark on an Engineering Construction career path which is both secure and financially rewarding.’
Participants who complete the training will be in a position to apply for work, apprenticeships or seek additional training via the College or ECITB initiatives such as the ‘work ready programme’.
